Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
Meridian Health Group is committed to ensuring that our facilities, services, and digital experiences are accessible to people of all abilities. We believe healthcare is a right and that accessing it should be easy, dignified, and welcoming for everyone.
Web accessibility
Our website and patient portal are designed and developed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We continually test our digital experiences against these standards using both automated tools and manual review by users with disabilities.
What we have implemented
- Semantic HTML and ARIA labels for screen readers
- Keyboard navigation throughout the site and portal
- Sufficient color contrast across text and interactive elements
- Resizable text up to 200% without loss of functionality
- Captions and transcripts for video content
- Alternative text for informative images
- Focus indicators on all interactive elements
- Compatibility with major screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver)
Physical accessibility
All three Meridian locations are ADA-compliant with accessible entrances, examination rooms, restrooms, parking, and check-in counters at multiple heights. ASL interpreters can be scheduled for your visit at no charge with at least 48 hours' notice.
Language access
Free interpretation services are available in over 200 languages, including American Sign Language, by phone and in person. Translated documents are available upon request. Tell our front desk team your preferred language when you arrive.
